About Me

Hey folks! My name is Varn Roy, a 25 year old guy hailing from the capital city of New Delhi. I’ve been working in the Social Impact space since the last 3 years as a governance consultant.

In the last 3 years, I’ve gained experience of working with 3 state government, philanthropies, NGOs, Big 4 consultants working in Impact, MBB consultants working in Impact, Academicians – So yeah, a lot of diverse bodies working for the common good.

By qualification, I am an engineer from Delhi Technological University, who has done everything but engineering. Why an engineer did not pursue tech? How did the journey from Welding in Mechanical Engineering classes to Social Impact look like? I’ll keep this short and ask you to read my 1st blog: “Fixing Engines to Fixing Broken System: Journey of an Engineer in Social Impact” on the Editorials page.

Why The Impact Question?

The Impact Question is not a venture, it is a personal project that I launched on my 25th birthday with the only objective of sharing my learnings from the social impact sector. The main beneficiary of this project is…”ME”. This is my way of proactively telling all I know in an attempt to reduce the number of “How can I join the Impact Space” DMs on Linkedin. Irrespective, even after the gyaan on the blogs there is something you would like to discuss related to the sector, governance, or consulting in general, feel free to hit me up on Linkedin or via Mail (shared above). Or yeah, you can use the book Mentorship page too!
